System readiness
Whether the installed systems have reached a state in which testing can meaningfully begin is assessed system by system.
Test plans
Which tests are foreseen, in what order, by which party and with which prerequisites is set out before the date approaches.
Open works
Outstanding items are listed with the responsible party and their effect on testing, so that they do not all land on the handover date.
Test and handover documents
Which records, protocols, certificates and as-built documents are expected, and which of them are already in hand, is tracked in one table.
Transfer to operation
What the operating team will need — documents, marked panels, instructions and training arrangements — is prepared before the handover, not after it.
IN SCOPE
The work is carried out on the project documents, site information and correspondence available for the agreed scope. Information that is missing or cannot be verified is recorded as an open item and reported with the responsible party, rather than assumed.

FROM THE FIELD
An example before the handover date
In a shopping centre due to be energised in six weeks, the panels are installed but nobody can say which tests are still outstanding or who holds the protocols. Systems are gone through one by one, the prerequisites for commissioning and the missing documents are listed with the party they are expected from, and each system is marked as ready, conditionally ready or missing documents. The gaps become visible while there are still six weeks to close them, rather than on the handover day itself.
SCOPE LIMIT
Peritus assesses testing and handover readiness within the agreed scope. Carrying out accredited tests, official acceptance, energisation permits and the contractor’s quality responsibilities remain with the relevant authorised parties. Statements such as ready, conditionally ready or documents missing express Peritus’ technical assessment on the available information; they are not an official acceptance decision.
