Are the bids truly comparable?
We evaluate contractor and supplier bids against a single common scope, showing how price differences, omissions and technical alternatives affect the decision. Instead of comparing headline prices alone, you see what each bid does and does not include.
When the cheapest bid seems too good to be true
When bidders have proposed different brands or methods
Before awarding an electrical package to a contractor
When a bid excludes items you expected to be included
When you need to justify a choice to partners or a board
What the evaluation covers
Depending on the scope of work, the review is carried out on the available project documents, quantity lists, bids and equipment information; missing or unverifiable information is recorded as an open item.
Comparing bids on the same scope
Missing and excluded items
Technical deviations and alternatives
Brand and model differences

What we need to start
You do not need every document in hand to begin; whatever is missing we note as an open item and factor into the clarification questions.
- The bids received, in full
- The tender documents or scope the bids answer to
- The drawings or specifications sent to bidders
- Any correspondence or clarifications exchanged so far
- Your priorities (price, timing, quality, warranty)
What you receive
- A bid comparison table on a common scope
- A set of clarification questions for the bidders
- A reasoned evaluation note on strengths and risks
- Open items where information was missing or unclear
From the field
A developer had three bids for a building’s electrical works, and the lowest was well below the others. Placing them side by side on one scope, we found the lowest had excluded the main distribution boards and offered a lighter cable specification. Once those items were priced in and the clarification questions answered, the apparent bargain was in fact the most expensive option, and the client could choose on real terms.
We provide a reasoned technical and commercial comparison to inform the decision; Peritus does not select the winner or award the tender, the final decision remains entirely with you.
