A contractor proposed an alternative switchgear brand for a commercial building, offered as equivalent to the specified one. Reviewing the data sheets against the specification, we found the ratings matched but the promised local service and spare-part cover were not documented. We recorded these as open items; once the supplier supplied the missing references and delivery terms, the client could make the substitution decision with the full picture in front of them.
